The COMMUNIQUE ON LAND AND RESOURCES OF CHINA is an authoritative annual report published to the public by the Ministry of Land and Resources (MLR) of China, which briefly reflects the status of land resources, mineral resources, marine resources and geological environment as well as the progress made in the planning, administration, protection and rational use of land and resources in China.

In order to comprehensively and objectively introduce the status of land and resources and the progress made in the administration of land and resources in China to the world, under the direction of the Planning Department of the MLR, the Information Center of the MLR organized its staffs to translate and publish the English version of the COMMUNIQUE ON LAND AND RESOURCES OF CHINA 2006.

The text in this English version came from the Chinese version of the COMMUNIQUE ON LAND AND RESOURCES OF CHINA 2006 published by the MLR and some related figures and tables were selected and added.

We hope that the reading public would obtain information of their interest from the report.
